The Bobcat Advising Center (BAC) is the academic advising home for all first year (freshman) students in every major.
All first years have an assigned academic advisor in BAC.
FALL 2024 ADMITS
Check your UCM email account for a May 31, 2024 message from your BAC temporary summer academic advisor.
Your BAC temporary summer academic advisor will be your contact for academic advising questions throughout the summer.
The May 31 email will include information about Zoom walk-in hours (virtual drop in hours) that begin on Monday, June 3, 2024 with Fall 2024 first year and lower division undeclared transfer admits.
Zoom walk-in hours for Fall 2024 admits will be offered from June 3 through mid-August, 2024.
BAC academic advisors will also be presenting at every New Student Orientation program in Summer 2024.
SPRING 2024 ADMITS

FALL 2023 ADMITS

The email includes information about walk-in hours and scheduling an appointment.
Your BAC academic advisor will be an important resource and primary contact for you throughout your first year.
After fall semester classes begin, meet with your BAC academic advisor at least once each semester.
You will have the chance to discuss your academic history (college courses or AP/IB exams already completed), choice of major and career, GE requirements, academic and co-curricular activities that support your goals, summer plans, intended graduation date, and much more.
