First Semester Major Change

All first year students can submit a Major Change form during the first semester up to the final day of final exam without meeting any criteria or completing any specifici classes in that major.

Follow the steps below to submit a major change in the first semester:

  1. Meet with your BAC academic advisor during walk-in hours or in an appointment.
  2. After meeting with your BAC academic advisor, submit the Major Change Form before the deadline.

No other requirements are needed other than speaking with your BAC academic advisor. Once you submit the major change form, it may take 8-10 business days for the change to be reflected on your record. 

**If you do not meet with your BAC academic advisor before you submit the major change form, your form will not be processed**

 

Second Semester Major Change

In the second semester of your first year, you can still submit the major change form, however, you must satisfy the Schools' major change requirement. This is in effect starting the day after Fall semester final exam week to the last day of Spring semester final exam week

Follow the step below to change your major in the second semester:

  1. Review the School Specific Major Change Requirement to understand the requirements
    1. School of Engineering (SOE)
    2. School of Natural Sciences (SNS)
    3. School of Social Science, Humanities, and Arts (SSHA)
  2. Meet your BAC academic advisor to verify your eligible or discuss more about the Schools' requirements.
