Registration does not end after your assigned time ticket. Students may continue to adjust their course schedule up until the add and drop deadline. Registration is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
REGISTRATION PAUSE
During the Fall semester there will be a "Registration Pause" where all continuing students' registration activities (registration, waitlist, etc.) becomes temporary inaccessible. This is to allow incoming Spring admitted students to register for their Spring courses. Once Spring admits registration are over, the registration pause is lifted and all registration activities becomes available again.
CONDITIONAL ADD AND DROP
When changing your schedule, it is a common practice to drop your current course, and then add the new course. A potential issue you may come across with this practice is you drop your course, but are not able to add the new course. Since already drop your course, you may not be able to add it back.
To avoid this from happnening, the best practice is to add the new course and drop the current course at the same time with the conditional add and drop button checked. The conditional add and drop is right next to the submit button as shown below.
![]()
By checking the box, the system will attempt to register you into the new course while dropping you from the current course in one action. However, if there is an error with your attempt to add the course, the system will NOT drop you from your current course. Instead, the system will show you an error message as to why you were not able to add the course. To learn more error message, click on this page "Common Registration Error".
