Outdoor Experience

Outdoor Experience adventures expose UC Merced students to the beauty of nature and diversity of recreational opportunities in California. Most programs have a small fee to cover transportation and other costs.

Recent adventures include snowshoeing in Yosemite National Park, a Valentine's Day trip to San Francisco, kayaking in Elkhorn Slough with sea otters, surfing in Santa Cruz, elephant seal viewing at Ano Nuevo State Park, a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and horseback riding on the California coast.

The Spring Break 2020 trip will be a 7-day adventure to the Grand Canyon.  The calendar of Outdoor Experience adventures is posted at this link and registration for all spring semester trips is open.
