Outdoor Experience

Outdoor Experience adventures expose UC Merced students to the beauty of nature and diversity of recreational opportunities in California. Most programs have a small fee to cover transportation and other costs.

Recent adventures include snowshoeing in Yosemite National Park, a Valentine's Day trip to San Francisco, kayaking in Elkhorn Slough with sea otters, surfing in Santa Cruz, elephant seal viewing at Ano Nuevo State Park, a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and horseback riding on the California coast.

The Spring Break 2019 trip was a 7-day adventure along the Oregon coastline with visits to Shasta National Park, Crater Lake, and more.  The Fall 2019 calendar of Outdoor Experience adventures are posted at this link and registration for all fall semester trips opens on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 8:00 a.m.
