What courses should I take?

Fall 2025 first year admits who register for New Student Orientation by Monday, June 9 will be eligible for Smart Start.

Smart Start allows the Registrar's Office to place you into 8-16 units of required coursework in your first semester based on your major.

Information about June registration workshops (all on Zoom) will be sent to your UC Merced email on Fri. May 30:
