CHANGE OF MAJOR, DECLARING A MINOR, OR MULTIPLE MAJOR PACKET
- Major: Make sure you speak with your BAC academic advisor before submitting a major change request.
- Minor: If you are undeclared, you must declare a major before you can declare a minor.
- Multiple Major: You can only declare a double major starting your SECOND YEAR at UC Merced.
- Meet with your BAC academic advisors to further discuss this process.
- Before you submit a Multiple Major Packet, you must satisfy the following:
Complete WRI 010 | Complete at least two courses in each major |
Be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher at UC Merced | Have a detailed semester-by-semester graduation plan loaded in MyDegreePath |
Must prove you can complete all degree requirements for both majors within the number of semester allowed under the Normal Progess Policy. | Satisfy any other specific requirements for that double major combination set by the faculty and school. |

LATE COURSE ADD OR COURSE WITHDRAWAL
- Late Course Add: Before submitting the late add form, make sure you reach out to the professor and get their permission.

LEAVING UC MERCED
- Before submitting the leaving UC Merced form, make sure you do the following:
- Review the Leaving UC Merced policy. This includes information for students called to active duty in the military.
- Talk with your BAC academic advisor and the Students First Center.
- For incoming students, read about how to cancel your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) or request to defer your enrollment.
- Before submitting the leaving UC Merced form, make sure you do the following:

INTERSEGMENTAL CROSS ENROLLMENT WITH MERCED COLLEGE
- As a UC Merced student, you are not allowed to take a class at another campus during the academic year (Fall and Spring semester) under the Concurrent Credit from Another Institution policy.
- The only exception to this policy is through the Intersegmental Cross Enrollment program, which will allow UC Merced students to enroll in a single course at Merced College starting their SECOND SEMESTER OR LATER.
