If you are undeclared, you must declare a major before you can declare a minor.

MULTIPLE MAJOR PACKET
- First year admits can submit an application for a multiple major (double major) starting in your THIRD SEMESTER at UC Merced.
- Talk with your BAC academic advisor during your first year if you are considering a double major.
- Some double major combinations are not allowed.
- In general, before you submit a Multiple Major Packet, you must:
- Complete WRI 10
- Complete at least two courses in each major
- Be in good academic standing at UC Merced
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.70 or higher at UC Merced
- Have a detailed semester-by-semester graduation plan loaded in MyDegreePath
- Prove with your detailed grad plan that you can complete all degree requirements for the double major within the number of semesters allowed under the Undergraduate Normal Progress to Degree policy
- Satisfy any other specific requirements for that double major combination set by the faculty and School.
- First year admits can submit an application for a multiple major (double major) starting in your THIRD SEMESTER at UC Merced.

LEAVING UC MERCED
- Review the policies on Leaving UC Merced, including information for students called to active duty in the military.
- Complete the Leaving UC Merced webform if you would like to step away from UC Merced on an educational leave (maximum two semesters) or withdraw from UC Merced.
- Talk with your BAC academic advisor and Financial Aid before submitting a request to leave UC Merced.
- If you are a new admit who has not yet started courses in your first semester, read about cancelling your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) or requesting to defer your enrollment.

INTERSEGMENTAL CROSS ENROLLMENT WITH MERCED COLLEGE
- You are not allowed to take a class at another college during the academic year (mid-August through mid-May) under the Concurrent Enrollment policy (Concurrent Credit from Another Institution).
- However, an exception exists to allow UC Merced students enrolled in their SECOND SEMESTER OR LATER to take one course at Merced College during fall or spring. See the eligibility criteria for this program at this link.
